Another motor trip arriving late in the day. Darrel was persuaded to motor up to the glacier for a late afternoon look and then retrace our steps to the mooring. Another stunning spot – again a few Chilean Black Dolphins passed us several times while chasing food.
The next morning dawned clear and still! Unbelievable weather for the Beagle. Throw the kayaks in and Shelene Brett and I left to paddle up to the top of the fiord. Complete glass like conditions all day – reflections everywhere – more glaciers at the top - too much to capture. The most memorable paddling day of the trip. Brett and I had to up the pace getting back as we were on dinner but we didn’t miss out on any of the views.
A walking party had climbed along the ridge to view the glacier. They took the kayaks for a short paddle to the first glacier in the late afternoon.
